Club Policies
Welcome to Upper Montclair Country Club.
Please take care to observe the following club policies to make your visit with us more enjoyable. For your convenience, we have guest lockers available, upon your arrival to the club, please see our locker room attendant, Billy Farrell, in the lower Men’s locker room, should you wish to use a locker for the day. Please be sure to use the locker room when changing into any golf attire, particularly golf shoes. It is not acceptable to change your shoes in the club’s parking lot. We hope you enjoy your visit to UMCC.
Play Etiquette
Upper Montclair Country Club takes pride in its less than four-hour Pace of Play. It is expected that all players, at regular intervals, check the position of their group with respect to the foursome ahead of you. Courtesy requires that slower players allow others to play through. We ask that all players insure that divots are replaced, sand traps are raked, all ball marks on the greens are properly repaired and carts are operated in a manner complying with Club policy.
Members are expected to advise their guests of all Club Rules and it is the responsibility of the Member to assure that all guests comply with Club Rules as well as Play Etiquette.
Cell Phone Policy
The use of cell phones is permitted only in the three locker rooms, front lobby, or outside the building in an appropriate area. Cell phones must be set on vibrate mode so as not to ring while on Club property. This consists of all areas of the Clubhouse, outside tented patios, the golf course, or driving range. If a call is received, the recipient must remove himself or herself from the dining areas and accept the call in the designated areas. If a call is received on the golf course, golfers are asked to dispense with the call quickly to avoid holding up play.
